The Flint Aero R/C Club has been providing the Flint area community with an ideal setting for R/C model plane enthusiasts for over 40 years. Our location known as Baker Field, is located at 2039 Sheridan Road, (M13) just outside the sleepy little town of Lennon Michigan. For directions to our field please visit our Field Map. The club boasts an annual membership of between 70 and 100 members per year. Information regarding application requirements, as well as applicable fees can be found in our Join page as well as our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page.
Special days hosted by our club will be listed in our Calendar of Events page. Please be sure to visit this page for the latest information regarding club activities. Additionally, if your club or organization is planning a special R/C related day, please let us know by contacting us, and we will be sure to include it in our Calendar page.
Our club hosts monthly meetings the third Sunday of each month. All members, as well as guests are invited to attend. The meeting location is seasonal and dependent on the time of year. During the off-season months, October through April, the meetings are held at 2:00 PM at the Dalton Airfield, which is located at 3400 Ann Drive, Flushing Michigan. When the weather turns warm, we turn our attention to flying, and move our meeting location home to Baker Field. We schedule meetings at 2:00 PM during the flying season.
For those of you who may be visiting our site for the first time and considering R/C flying as a hobby, look no further. Our trained staff of instructors will guide you through each phase of the learning curve and allow you to accumulate the necessary stick time to earn your wings without sacrificing your plane in the process. Each Tuesday during the flying season, instructors will be on hand to assist you in your training. Further information regarding pilot instruction can be obtained by visiting the FAQ section.
If you're contemplating striking out on your own and going it alone without the aid of instruction, we strongly encourage you to reconsider. Folks that have elected to pursue this option have ALWAYS regretted doing so. For more information regarding this topic, please visit our FAQ section.
